Some views from Platform 2 at Goole at Goole Station 25th August 2015

The main reason for visiting Goole was to have ride on a First Bus on the 87 service to Goole which is due off in early September  but the opportunity to visit the railway station's Platform 2 which serves the services between Doncaster-Goole-Hull and Bridlington and take some photographs for the archives. 

Above various station views and that of the level crossing which is on the main road through the town which is not very popular with road users. Included is a view of the station clock on Platform 1 and to the right the clock in the roundabout opposite the market hall.  Below a couple of views of the First buses that  will soon be ceasing to operate to Goole from Doncaster.

A visit to the Black Country Museum 5th July 2015

The Black Country Museum at Dudley offers visitors a good chance to see how our industrial landscape looked in the days of mining. There are visits down a mine whilst at the surface at the museum there is an opportunity to see some of the tracks and trucks etc once graced the mines.
