Out and about at the Summer Festival Event 2012
This is the main annual event of the year held in Thorne Memorial Park in Thorne Near Doncaster. The event was in danger of being cancelled after the terrible weather of May, June and early July. The park was water logged until the now famous "Jet Stream" moved northwards stopping the endless low pressures and their torrential rainfall coming across England. After two weeks of drier and sunnier weather the park dried out fairly quickly so the event was given the go ahead. Below is a selection of some of photographs taken of the event on Saturday 28th July of the two day event.
Three trains rides, Two tram rides and one bus ride 29th July 2012
On Sunday 29th July instead of going to day 2 of the Summer Festival we decided to go to Rotherham and Sheffield for a day out from Thorne North Station. To see more photographs of the journeys go to my Facebook album, and in higher definition.
