Stockholes Farm Railway Halloween Event 2015
Like many other railways Stockholes Farm Railway entertained its visitors very successfully on the 31st October with the Halloween theme especially for the children
A Foggy Evening at Sandtoft concludes the 2015 season
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft concluded its operating season by a two event concluding on the evening of November 1st 2015 when the fog thickened up again as darkness set in. Above we se the last service trolleybus driver of the wartime trolleybus Derby 172. A selection of trolleybuses from Derby, Huddersfield, Bradford and South Shields operated on both days. The train about to depart from Hatfield St Lawrence's Church
On Saturday 17th October 2015 as part of a fund raising event at the St Lawrence's Church in Hatfield Doncaster, a 5 inch portable track was set up for the children by Jack Salter. As in other years this proved to be very popular.
Journeying past some of gravestones the train heads along the track whilst inside the church a selection of stall were offering a wide range of cakes, books, cards, jams etc as well as light refreshments. Below right is myself a few years previous.
A Boris Master London Bus turns up at the Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum
Several generations of London Buses were displayed at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft on Sunday 18th October 2015 including the latest Boris Master as it is known as. A line up was organised by the Doncaster Omnibus & Light Railway Society.
The extension of the Light Rail System in Nottingham
The NET light rail system has recently considerable expanded with the trams now operating to Toton Lane and Clifton South running on a mix of street tracks and segregated railway type tracks that display the adaptability of such a system.
No the traction pole is not leaning more of the wide angle lense distortion at Ruddington Lane. Whilst at Compton Acres one of the earlier batch of trams approaches the Compton Acres street tram stop.
